Ligustica (Finnish italian) queens instrumentally inseminated
120 EUR/queen, if buying 4 or more queens (in checkout use discount code L4)**
We accept orders for instrumentally inseminated queens until May 31!
Instrumentally inseminated queens will be available in limited quantities from mid-July until the end of August. Orders will be fulfilled in queue, so we invite beekeepers to reserve queens now by placing an order. The order will be confirmed after receiving the prepayment by May 31!
Due to weather and other unpredictable circumstances, the number of available instrumentally inseminated queens may change and your order may have to be cancelled. In that case, we will inform you of the cancellation of the order and return the full amount of the advance payment to the account from which the payment was made.
All queens and used drones are reared from selected breeder queens, tested in our apiaries. Upon receiving the queens, the beekeeper will also receive information on the origin of the queens and used drones.
Ligustica
bee colonies:
- Form strong, large colonies,
- Excellent foragers when nectar is widely available in nature,
- Winter consumption of food is uneconomical, overwinter worse than other races in severe winters (Finnish-Italian queens have better wintering ability),
- Are very gentle during the working procedures,
- Have low tendency to swarm,
- Greater tendency to rob than other races, if there is low or no nectar in nature.
Instrumentally inseminated queens are intended for rearing new queens for your own apiary or for queen breeders to evaluate them and then rear queens for commercial purposes.
Advantages of instrumentally inseminated queens:
- The queen is instrumentally inseminated, the origin of the drones used for insemination is known,
- Instrumentally inseminated queens are intended for rearing pure Ligustica virgin queens.
Disadvantages of instrumentally inseminated queens:
- Instrumentally inseminated queens have a higher price than naturally mated queens.
